Tennis club management · singles, doubles, games and sets | ClubLog

Tennis clubs need to agree on court time, singles or doubles pairings and scoring before play. ClubLog supports team schedules, attendance responses and singles and doubles recording. Entering the side that wins a point lets the app calculate game and set state, keeping point totals distinct from games won.

Agree on court time and singles or doubles pairings

Add the court and start time to the schedule and review attendance responses. Organizers arrange pairings and actual match order within the court time they have secured. For doubles, confirm partners and the first server and receiver. Explain differences from app defaults before starting if the club uses no-ad scoring or another deciding-set format.

  1. Add the court, start time and attendance response deadline to the tennis schedule.
  2. Confirm participants and arrange singles or doubles pairings and actual court match order.
  3. Check the format, partners, first server and receiver, and scoring arrangement.
  4. Enter the point winner and compare the current points, games and sets with play.
  5. Check the games in each set and final sets won together after the match.

Check the progression from points to games and sets

Select singles or doubles and confirm participants and service order, then enter the side that wins each point. App defaults are first to two sets, advantage games, a six-game set target and a tiebreak at 6–6. Entered points determine game and set completion. Check available settings first for other scoring arrangements, and compare court decisions and service order with actual play.

Questions about club management

How do I record tennis points, games and sets?

Enter the side that wins a point and the app calculates the current game and set state. Defaults are advantage games, a six-game target with a tiebreak at 6–6, and first to two sets. A point won does not equal a game won; check points, games and sets during play.

What should I prepare before recording tennis doubles?

Select doubles and confirm both pairs, the first server and receiver, and service order. When participants change between matches, check the actual next pairing again. Organizers should arrange and share court match order and rest allocation based on the court time they have secured.

What if our tennis club uses no-ad scoring?

ClubLog defaults to advantage game scoring. If your club uses no-ad or another deciding-set format, compare the actual arrangement with available app settings before play. A variant that cannot be selected should not be recorded under defaults and then treated as equivalent to the official result.
