Your goal
Agree on a shared description of your new activity’s goal. Begin with safe basic movements and the agreements everyone will follow.
Key terms
Activity name: the actual sport or exercise. Success condition: scoring, finishing or cooperation. Stop signal: an agreed way to halt for danger. Modified rules: agreements suited to participants’ abilities.
Key rules · official rules and app defaults
“Other activities” has no common official rules. Find the relevant association, venue and competition rules. Agree on numbers, space, scoring, finishing and permitted contact. Mark unverified items as temporary agreements and never relax safety rules.
Equipment and safety
Ask the venue manager about equipment, evacuation and emergency contacts. Use protection and safe spacing. Do not attempt unfamiliar high-risk movements without instruction.
Your first practice
Follow a coach explanation, slow demonstration, movement without equipment and a short low-intensity practice. Have each participant demonstrate the stop signal.
Your first match
Write down the activity, participants, finishing conditions, decision-maker and stop signal. Start only after everyone agrees. Pause competition and review agreements if a situation is unclear.
Recording in the app and its limits
Other activities can be selected as a team sport, but match setup currently has no dedicated format. Generic match and session models in code do not provide a start screen. Use schedules, team communication and a separate activity log; do not save under an unrelated sport.
Common beginner mistakes
Calling arbitrary rules official: distinguish sources and agreements. Ignoring participant ability: observe easy movements first. Using another sport’s automatic scoring: record separately.
Coach script · demonstration · check understanding
Explain: “First agree on success and the stop signal.” Demonstrate: the easiest movement and stop signal. Short practice: participants copy and stop. Check: “What do we do if anyone feels unsafe?” Feedback: “Good attention to our agreement. Keep the next movement low intensity too.”
