Your goal

Pass with your hands to create space and score in the goal. Start with safe catching and passing to a nearby teammate.

Key terms

Dribble: bounce the ball. Goal area: the goalkeeper’s area. 7m throw: a designated penalty throw. Passive play: a ruling about keeping the ball without an attacking intention.

Key rules · official rules and app defaults

The IHF 2025 amendment notice explains a provision allowing at most three steps after receiving the ball or catching it after dribbling. Check the original text for landing exceptions when catching in the air. Confirm the goal area, contact, suspensions and age-specific durations with a coach and competition rules. The app has no dedicated handball engine.

Equipment and safety

Use a ball suited to your hand size and court shoes. Avoid hard shots toward faces and pushing from behind. Check secured goals.

Your first practice

Practise catching with both hands, short passes and moving after a pass at walking speed. Gently throw into open goal space without defensive contact.

Your first match

Confirm the goalkeeper, goal-area boundary, contact limits and duration. Avoid hard contact in beginner matches and have a coach check your step count.

Recording in the app and its limits

Handball can be selected as a team sport, but match setup currently has no handball format. Use schedules and team communication, and keep goals and suspension times separately. Do not save using futsal or basketball engines.

Common beginner mistakes

Walking continuously with the ball: stop and pass. Charging at the goalkeeper: leave a safe distance. Assuming the app manages suspensions: assign a separate recorder.

Coach script · demonstration · check understanding

Explain: “After catching, find a teammate instead of running with the ball.” Demonstrate: catch, stop and pass. Short practice: a contact-free passing relay. Check: “Can we keep walking after catching?” Feedback: “Good catch position. Look toward your pass first next time.”
