App recording formats: 5-a-side
Your goal
Use quick passes in small spaces to create scoring chances. Begin by stopping the ball with your sole and passing to a nearby teammate.
Key terms
Kick-in: a foot restart after the ball leaves the touchline. Accumulated fouls: relevant fouls added to the team total. Rolling substitution: changing players during play using the required procedure. Pivot: the forward receiving role.
Key rules · official rules and app defaults
The app uses a FIFA 2024–25-based 5-a-side model with two 20-minute periods, accumulated fouls and timeouts. The obtained FIFA document was the newer 2025–26 edition; its contents were checked. Confirm edition differences and details of kick-ins, four seconds and accumulated fouls with the referee and current text. Do not apply 11-a-side football rules unchanged.
Equipment and safety
Wear indoor-surface shoes and shin guards. Check walls, secured goals and slippery areas. Avoid sliding and heavy contact in beginner practice.
Your first practice
Practise stopping with the sole, an inside-foot pass and moving into free space after passing. Prioritise passes your teammate can receive over speed.
Your first match
Confirm substitution zones, match duration, how the clock stops and kick-in restarts. The recorder should compare each team’s accumulated fouls with the referee and never reset them arbitrarily.
Recording in the app and its limits
Choose 5-a-side futsal. Record goals, clock changes, accumulated fouls and timeouts according to referee calls. After a sending-off, confirm actual permission before restoring team numbers.
Common beginner mistakes
Taking a football-style throw-in: check futsal restarts. Treating fouls only as individual offences: check team accumulation. Confusing running and stopped time: designate a recorder.
Coach script · demonstration · check understanding
Explain: “Stop with your sole, then lift your head.” Demonstrate: link stop, pass and move. Short practice: slow triangle passes. Check: “What do we compare the team foul count with?” Feedback: “Smooth stop. Take a step after passing next time.”
